On our survey today (October 22, 2019), we found 2 Spoon-billed Sandpiper at Binh Dai, Ben Tre. It is first record at this location, previous records were in Ba Tri (2003) and Go Cong (2011-2019). This is also the first time we found SbS arrived Mekong delta in October, it seems earlier than normal years when they arrived and stayed during mid-November to end of March.
Our project: Strengthening the conservation of coastal Important Bird Areas (IBAs) in Viet Nam’s Mekong Delta region is funded by Birdlife International Asia
