Environmental Education at Tram Chim | Wildtour

Location: Vietnam

Year: Since 2020

Partner (s): Wildbird Hotel, Senta Farm

Outdoor learning through birds, wetlands and regenerative agriculture

Wildtour’s field-based environmental education programs use birds, wetlands, and regenerative agriculture to help young people learn directly from landscapes around Tram Chim. Activities combine birdwatching, wetland interpretation, biodiversity, soil and water awareness, and hands-on eco-agriculture.

Wildbird Hotel and Senta Farm provide Wildtour with a place-based platform for student environmental education near Tram Chim National Park. The programs are designed as field-based learning experiences, allowing students to observe birds, wetlands, farming systems, and local culture directly in the landscape.

The educational approach links nature interpretation with practical activities: birdwatching, bird identification, Vietnam Bird app resources, wetland ecosystem stories, biodiversity conservation, eco-agriculture, soil and water awareness, and stewardship for the “home of birds”.

Our key outdoor activities:

  • Wetland interpretation: Storytelling around Tram Chim, Sarus Crane conservation, birds, and the meaning of wetland protection;
  • Young birdwatchers: Introductory birdwatching, binoculars use, bird names in English, and bird identification with Vietnam Bird resources;
  • Eco-agriculture learning: Hands-on learning at Senta Farm, including regenerative rice, soil health, straw, water, and wildlife-friendly farming.
  • Learning in nature: Outdoor experiences that let students touch soil, smell straw, listen to the birds, and connect emotionally with nature.
