Tan Phu Birding Tour

Tan Phu offers productive lowland forest birding within easier reach of Ho Chi Minh City than Cat Tien. The main target is the Orange-necked Partridge, supported by a strong suite of pittas, woodpeckers, and other southern forest birds.

Duration2 days
SeasonDecember to April
USD 102-390 Booking

Similar to Cat Tien National Park in terms of habitat, Tan Phu is closer to Ho Chi Minh City; this site is perfect for those who don't have enough time to visit Cat Tien. We can visit Tan Phu for a day tour; however, it is better to spend at least one night in Dinh Quan town to have more time to enjoy the many excellent species to be seen there. This is also one of the reliable sites for the elusive Orange-necked partridge, which is very difficult to see in Cat Tien. We expect to record around 80 bird species on this tour.
